We were invited to get involved with the coding and deployment of Commodity Global's Online Newsletter by our friends over at Stonefern Design who had done the visuals for the project. This was a challenging case in that we had to use an existing codebase that was integrated into a complex CMS that utilised plugins from various different developers, many of which were no longer supported.
By extracting the code and rebuilding much of the site, we managed to create a lightweight, performant website that provided a responsive layout from the original visuals. The project involved custom written polls to gather data from users, which included animated charts for the results which improved engagement with customers as well as providing interesting data and feedback.
We researched and found a suitable hosting provider for the website to allow the site to perform well even under large traffic surges that occurred each time the updated Newsletter was released. This gave us the assurance that the user experience would not suffer even when thousands of users hit the site concurrently.
The Site reaches a global audience and is highly regarding in the Industry for its business insight and people moves information. For us, it is a great opportunity to partner with another agency and work with a highly professional internal marketing team to deliver a great result.
