Site Newsletter
The Newsletter function in Messagepac™ allows for regular updates to be sent via email to the subscribed user base.
Messagepac's Site Newsletter function is a powerful, automated tool that takes specified articles and presents them in a predefined template, emailing them to the subscribed user base. Articles are added to the site newsletter when they are reviewed or published by a site editor.
There are a number of functions available in the Site Newsletter menu:
Manage Newsletter Settings Edit the Automated Site Newsletter settings, including the 'sent from' email address, email subject and the introductory text.
Email subject: You can edit the default email subject; aloows you to put a recognisable subject such as 'Latest Newsletter from your name'
Email Introduction: You can add some brief introductory text, allowing you to add additional content to the articles listed. This normally appears before the article list, depending on the email template design.
Sender email address: this is the email from which the newsletter will appear to come from.
No. of articles before production: These specifies the number of articles required in the queue before you are prompeted to send the newsletter.
Email format: Select HTML or plain text as an email format ( Note: if you wish to present graphics and layout through the template you should use html).
Preview Newsletter Use this function to preview the current Newsletter before processing it. This will send a preview email to your 'sent from' email address in the Newsletter Settings.
Process Newsletter Process the current Newsletter - this will automatically email your Newsletter to the current subscribed userbase with the amount of articles set in Newsletter Settings.
List previous newsletters List previous newsletters
You can review, preview and resend past newsletters using this command.
